Our office employs many types of new technology. These technologies benefit the patient by offering improved diagnosis and care.

Digital X-ray

Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation needed as compared to film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen allow the patient to better understand and follow treatment. Digital x-rays are instant, there is no longer a need to develop the film. Digital x-rays save time and increase patient care. It’s also a very green technology. By eliminating film, developer and chemical waste it is better for you and the environment!

Orthophos XG®

Orthophos XG® is a 2 dimensional xray used to help the dentist visualize both jaws in one film. Using a special tool that the patient bites down on, images are taken as the machine rotates around the patient’s head. The films are then viewed either digitally on the computer or on traditional Xray Film.

Isolite™ System

The Isolite™ System is a special mouth guard that our office uses to provide our patients maximum comfort during treatment.  Isolite™  significantly reduces the risk of injury to the patient by providing superior protection for the patient’s tongue and cheek, while also supplying the dentist with adjustable lighting and easily controlled suction. This system comes in several different sizes, so that each patient can be fitted comfortably and easily.

Accutron® Nitrous Oxide Delivery System

Accutron® is a unique delivery system for Nitrous Oxide, or Laughing Gas, which is a safe sedation agent used to help children relax during dental procedures. The laughing gas is delivered through a comfortable mask that fits over the nose. The masks are available in a variety of colors and scents that are appealing to children. It’s small size allows it to stay out of the way of the clinician during treatment, and does not overwhelm an already anxious patient.

Testing for pH

In our office, we provide patients with specialized tests to identify the pH levels in the saliva in their mouths. These tests are used to encourage better dental health for each patient. By measuring the acidity or alkalinity of saliva, determining the pH can be an indicator of good oral health, or an indicator of need for improvement. A balanced pH level will help maintain strong and healthy teeth and gums.

Sonic Fill®

This is a specialized dental composite system that provides and develops restorative materials quickly and easily. It is a sonic-activated, single step system that requires no additional capping layer for posterior restorations.

Saliva Check Mutans

This tool helps dentists assess a patient’s risk of infection by detecting levels of Streptococcus Mutans (S. Mutans), which is the prime agent of dental caries. It is a simple, visual tool that can quickly teach patients about tooth decay and bacteria in their mouths. Providing this information can help encourage better overall oral health.

Biodentine®

Biotdentine® is an all in one biocompatible dentine substitute that can help preserve pulp vitality in damaged teeth. Biodentine is used in an emergency to protect a compromised nerve. With it’s excellent sealing properties, it can also reduce the possibility of adverse senstivity. It needs no bonding or conditioning, and it helps heal the pulp with improved handling and a faster setting time.

Xylitol®

Xylitol® is a completely natural product and helps prevent dental decay. Our office offers Xylitol products to parents which can contribute to your child’s overall oral health.

Sterilization

In our office, your safety is our top concern. We use an outside monitoring group to ensure that the we have the highest quality sterilization that meets and exceeds every requirement. If you ever have questions or concerns, please ask for more information at the front desk.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Using Electronic Medical Records our practice is able to quickly and accurately access patient information in order to provide the utmost in patient care. This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper. Using a digital format allows for quick access to your information when needed for insurance records yet provides a secure filing system.

Our office provides digital monitors and Apple T.V. set up in every room.
